They came, they saw, they planted ! It took four of us one 10 hour day to build the structure of the raised beds with new Baltic pine railway sleepers. We used about 20 no. 2.6m x 250mm x125mm, with a few 250mm x 75mm used as the path edging, and some 50mm x 50mm timbers as supporting posts. Add to that some 8" Timberlok screws, and the one day wonder was complete, and generally approved by two passing ducks !

The planting up was finished over the following weeks, and the final photos were taken about 5 months later.

A simple speedy project with materials that are basic to use, and with 100's of variations, to ensure a practical and imaginative transformation.
